First Lady of Latvia Mrs Andra Levite was born in Germany on 16 November 1962, into a Latvian family.

In 1990, she graduated in medical studies from the Justus Liebig University Giessen.

Since 1990, she has worked as a Gynecologist and Obstetrician in Germany and Luxembourg.

Mrs Andra Levite married Mr Egils Levits in 1991, and they have a daughter, Indra, and a son, Linards.
