President Pendarovski pointed out that North Macedonia followed the experience of Baltic countries in the NATO integration process. Egils Levits invited North Macedonia to join the Latvia-based NATO Multinational Division Headquarters North after the country’s accession to the Alliance.
President Levits and President Pendarovski also discussed issues related to strategic communication and media literacy.
Egils Levits and Stevo Pendarovski touched upon the development and reform process in North Macedonia, and President Levits underlined that Latvia has always supported the European aspirations of Western Balkan countries.
President Pendarovski was keenly interested in Latvia’s re-emigration experience, which is an issue also important for the North Macedonia.
